Public Code of Conduct
Effective Date: August 13, 2025
This Public Code of Conduct outlines the standards of professionalism, ethics, safety, and integrity that guide
all Graceful Nurture Home Health, LLC (GNHH) personnel. It is intended for clients, families, community
partners, and the public to understand the expectations GNHH upholds in delivering safe, respectful, and
high-quality care.
Our Commitment to Ethical, Respectful Care
GNHH is dedicated to providing home-care services that uphold dignity, respect, compassion, and fairness.
Every member of our team—including employees, contractors, caregivers, volunteers, and representatives—is
expected to act with honesty and professionalism.
We affirm that:
- Clients are treated with respect, courtesy, and kindness.
- Services are delivered safely and responsibly.
- Staff maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Client rights, privacy, and autonomy are respected at all times.
Professional Behavior & Client Interaction
GNHH personnel must:
- Treat all clients with dignity and cultural sensitivity.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly.
- Follow client care plans as assigned.
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a professional appearance.
- Provide services only within the scope of their training and job role.
- Protect client property and personal belongings.
- Refrain from inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory conduct.
Staff may not:
- Engage in romantic, financial, or personal relationships with clients.
- Borrow money or accept high-value gifts.
- Exploit, mistreat, or intimidate clients.
Respect for Client Privacy & Confidentiality (HIPAA Compliance)
GNHH protects all client information in accordance with federal privacy laws.
Personnel must:
- Keep all client information private and secure.
- Access only the information needed to perform their duties.
- Avoid discussing client information with anyone not authorized.
- Protect all physical and electronic records.
Unauthorized sharing of client information is strictly prohibited.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, or Harassment
GNHH enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for:
- Physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse
- Neglect or abandonment
- Financial exploitation or misuse of client property
- Harassment, retaliation, intimidation, or threats
Any staff member found to have engaged in such conduct is subject to immediate removal from service and
further action.
Clients and families have the right to report concerns at any time.
Safety, Infection Control, and Professional Responsibility
GNHH staff are required to:
- Follow all safety and infection-control procedures.
- Use proper lifting and mobility techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Report hazards or safety concerns promptly.
- Seek assistance when a task exceeds training or physical capability.
Staff may not perform unsafe tasks or ignore safety instructions.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are not permitted:
- Theft, fraud, or misrepresentation
- Use or possession of illegal drugs or alcohol while on duty
- Carrying weapons in client homes or GNHH locations
- Posting client images or information on social media
- Intimidation, harassment, or retaliation
Violations may result in termination or legal action.
Non-Solicitation of Clients
To protect continuity of care and client safety, GNHH staff may not:
- Ask clients to hire them privately
- Offer private services outside of GNHH
- Accept cash, personal employment arrangements, or independent caregiver contracts from GNHH clients
- Encourage clients to leave GNHH services
This protects clients from exploitation and ensures reliable, supervised care.
Gifts, Payments, and Financial Boundaries
GNHH personnel may not accept:
- Cash or monetary gifts
- Loans
- Jewelry, electronics, or valuables
- High-value items of any kind
Small gestures of appreciation (e.g., a card or low-value token gift) may be accepted only if permitted by GNHH
guidelines.
Use of GNHH Property & Technology
Staff must:
- Use GNHH property only for authorized purposes
- Protect all devices, passwords, and digital access
- Report lost or stolen equipment immediately
Access credentials may not be shared with unauthorized individuals.
Reporting Concerns or Violations
GNHH encourages clients, families, staff, and community members to report concerns.
You may report:
- Safety concerns
- Abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Privacy violations
- Ethical or professional misconduct
